You Are Not There And You Are Not Anywhere

No eyes revolving around the moon
No feet scraping away from school

Children sat on brick walls in the fading daylight hours
Never really was
And the park is empty because everyone is dead
And your dead
You’re a corpse that breathes and recollects and wants
Your house is dark and lifeless when I walk past
Your grave hasn’t yet been dug and you have your
stone inscribed with lots of love
None of mine

Children walk home from school
The only season was autumn
And you tried to cut your pain away from your flesh
I wanted a pound of flesh from your chest
So you cut away and stripped off all of your flesh
A bloody mess
Giving yourself away in parks and dark disco halls

Trying to find a few smiles in miles
But finding none
And you never will find anything anywhere
Because you are just a figment of my imagination
